St Luke and All Saints Church Darrington

Darrington Church is a Grade One listed building with lots of history and of outstanding beauty. It is an ideal wedding venue and has a friendly congregation to welcome you and make you feel at ease. Why not join us for Sunday worship at 10.45am or on Thursday at 10.30am? All services are followed by coffee and biscuits.

Church is about people - people like you and me. Everyone is special and loved by God, and forgiven for their sins. Here in Church we find acceptance and love, friendship and fellowship. Church is about people not about buildings, although we are lucky to have such beautiful ancient buildings to worship God in. Worship is central to the  Christian faith, whether Sunday or midweek. Baptism is the sign of our membership of God’s Church. Why not join us in Church? You will be made very welcome. The Went Valley Parishes - Darrington, Kirk Smeaton and Wentbridge are part of the Church of England, they are outside Pontefract. Here everyone is welcome, everyone is included.

Read an interesting archaeological survey of the church by one of our parishioners, Rachael Wilkins, with whose permission this project is published here.
