The car park at St john’s Church Wentbridge
Parking at Wentbridge Church.
Please park in the middle of Wentbridge on the roadside by the bridge, and walk up.
Sometimes an usher or family member at the bottom of Jackson’s Lane, or notices put there are useful. To direct people.
In bad weather a family member is usually delegated to ferry people up to the church in their car.
There are parking spaces for the clergy, bellringer and organist at the church, but there are very few spaces and the wedding car (or hearse) needs room to turn round and park. People who are disabled may also park at the Church. It is okay to park in the Church car park for Sunday services.
Please do not obstruct traffic on Jackson’s Lane as it upsets the neighbours if they can’t get in and out of their houses.
St John’s Church
The car park is an ideal location for wedding photos and this is spoilt by cars parking in it, so please plan ahead.
Please contact the manager of the Blue Bell Inn or the Wentbridge House Hotel for details of overflow car parking which may be available for customers if you ask nicely.
Car parking at Wentbridge.
There is room for half a dozen cars at Wentbridge Church. Please ask guests to park by the bridge in Wentbridge then walk up Jacksons Lane. Wedding couples often have an usher there asking people to walk up, or ferrying the aged and disabled up to the church in a car.
Please do not block Jacksons Lane it is a public right of way and people live on it past the church.
